I’ve learned a million things since opening my first Etsy shop - probably a million and a half and loved every moment of that journey. Sometimes not so much while I was in the messy middle of it all to be honest, because sometimes we can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel. But when you trust yourself and lean in and allow yourself to get to the other side - there are so many amazing things you realize you’ve learned along the way. I compiled this list of the 10 most important things I wish I knew before I started my first Etsy shop and things I find important enough to share with you. I’d bet any amount of money that if you have been researching on your own trying to learn everything you can about selling on Etsy - which I am sure has led to a bit of information overload for you - but I am sure that you have heard that SEO which stands for Search Engine Optimization is one of the most important aspects of your product’s listing. I agree that it is important. But it isn’t the MOST important. In this episode, I will tell you what IS and why your SEO won’t matter in the least if you don’t put your focus on this one thing and become an expert in it.

Selling digital products isn’t the only way that you can make passive profits on Etsy. If you are someone who has been wanting or at least curious to explore the option of selling physical products like t-shirts, hoodies, mugs - print on demand makes this possible by basically doing all of the work for you! This business model was the one that I started before I opened my digital product Etsy shop and to be completely honest, I saw some really, REALLY amazing success with it. I don’t sell print on demand anymore and I’m going to let you decide if it really was a failure or not - because I tell you all about my story in this episode about the literal roller coaster ride that print on demand was for me, but also WHY I am most likely going to be opening up a new print on demand Etsy shop again, and the absolutely amazing lessons I learned and how that affects the information that I share with YOU.
